Why would I use it in education?

  • Well, what if you were studying something in the news as a current event, such as the Earth Quake in China , or the Presidential Election. You would choose sites, sign up for their RSS feed, and any update would automatically be sent to your RSS Feed folder. The news comes to you. Any time a blog, wiki or any other website updates the topic you find interesting, you are notified! What a time saver? PLUS, The information is direct to you and again, the student would not be "web surfing" around, since it is in one neat package.

  • Creating an account on Google is a great place to keep your RSS feeds all in one place. You sign up for a google account and then go to reader to start saving your RSS feeds.
