NETS - Technology StandardsThis is a featured page

All students K-12, must fulfill the State of NH Department of Education Technology Requirements - When on the NHEON website, look for "the Strategy for Organizing and Reviewing Portfolios in the rubric" and click on the Portfolio Cube Graphic. This is the newly updated strategy that the state will be using to implement the newly adopted technology standards.

What are the NETS standards and what do they mean to me?

Today teachers in New Hampshire must be aware that there are National Educational Technology Standards for students to meet throughout certain stages of their education. ISTE developed indicators of achievement at certain ages and stages, to guide and assist educators with the technology integration. Skills are introduced and reinforced over many years or grade levels until mastery is achieved.

National Educational Technology Standards - ISTE's (International Society for Technology in Education) National Educational Technology Standards for Students, updated in 2007, help students prepare to work, live, and contribute to the social and civic fabric of their communities.

There are two sets of Technology Standards, one for students and one for teachers. Please see the links below to direct you to the appropriate page.

ISTE NETS for Teachers - Teachers Standards are going to be revealed at the 2008 NECC conference in July 2008.
